Surface Quality
The surface of the steel wire shall be smooth and shall not be cracked, folded, pricked, rusted or otherwise damaged, but individual small draw marks and lubricating coatings with depth not exceeding one half of the diameter tolerance shall be allowed; the depth of the group G pull marks shall not exceed 0.02mm; wire diameter of not more than 2mm, the pull marks to allow the depth of not more than 0.01mm. For the steel wire for the aerospace industry, diameter less than 3.5mm, the surface pull marks allowed depth of not more than 0.01mm, diameter greater than 3.5mm shall not exceed 0.02mm.
Decarburization layer

Mechanical properties

The total depth of decarburized layer (ferrite + transition layer) of the steel wire shall conform to the requirements of Group I in the following table, and shall be indicated in the contract in the case of Group II delivery

Surface Quality
The surface of the steel wire shall be smooth and shall not be cracked, folded, pricked, rusted or otherwise damaged, but individual small draw marks and lubricating coatings with depth not exceeding one half of the diameter tolerance shall be allowed; the depth of the group G pull marks shall not exceed 0.02mm; wire diameter of not more than 2mm, the pull marks to allow the depth of not more than 0.01mm. For the steel wire for the aerospace industry, diameter less than 3.5mm, the surface pull marks allowed depth of not more than 0.01mm, diameter greater than 3.5mm shall not exceed 0.02mm.
Decarburization layer
